Global Multi-voltage Interface Unit for Diverse Digital Logic

In the development of low power SoCs, multi-voltage designs are most preferred options due to various reasons. Front end design methodologies often face many challenges due to multiple IPs/Design units residing on multi-voltage domains in SoCs. Design convergence in most cases, need frequent updates distributed across physical and logical partitions. This poses difficulties for design closure especially at the final stages. To minimize design efforts and cost, a global interface unit, which can house diverse digital logic, is implemented. The proposed interface unit can house level-shifters, isolation cells, buffers for signal splitting, repeaters, glue logic etc., to cater to multi-voltage designs and faster convergence.
