Modification of a Bi-Sb-V catalyst for oxidative ammonolysis of toluene by oxides of the alkaline and alkaline-earth metals

1987
The introduction of small (up to 0.2 wt. %) quantities of oxides of alkaline and alkaline-earth metals leads to an increase in the activity of a Bi-Sb-V oxide system in the oxidative ammonolysis of toluene. It is shown that this effect is caused by an increase in the content of basic centers on the catalyst surface. Under these circumstances, the oxygen bond energy is almost unchanged.
