Playing method and device of video elements in web page

The invention discloses a playing method and device of video elements in a web page and relates to the technical field of browsers. The playing method comprises obtaining a web page document which is used for loading from the web page server side; determining that the web page document is a specific web page with the video elements which can be played and injecting a display control script which is used for performing displaying control on the video elements to the web page document from a browser; determining that the video elements are partially displayed and or are not displayed in the current browser display window through the display control script; performing independent display on the video elements in the current web page in the current browser display window through the display control script. According to the playing method and device of the video elements in the web page, the video elements can be displayed in the display window after the initial position of the video elements in the web page document moves out of the display window and accordingly a user can watch the playing content in the video elements when browsing other information such as video reviews and recommend videos in the web page.
