The invention discloses an application method of an oil-water phase flow part separating and online measuring device, wherein the device comprises a column shaped cyclone, a U-shaped pipe, a mixed liquid pipe and a water phase separating pipe, wherein the column shaped cyclone is connected with an inlet of a mixed liquid; a lower outlet of the column shaped cyclone is connected with one end of the water phase separating pipe; an upper outlet of the column shaped cyclone is connected with one end of the U-shaped pipe; the other end of the U-shaped pipe is connected with one end of the mixed liquid pipe; the other end of the mixed liquid pipe and the other end of the water phase separating pipe are both connected with an outlet; more than two pressure sensors are arranged on the U-shaped pipe; and flow meters are arranged on both the mixed liquid pipe and the water phase separating pipe. According to the invention, the advantage that high efficient separating characteristic and gravitational pressure drop of the column shaped cyclone are used for calculating phase volume fraction is sufficiently utilized to achieve high-precision measurement of volume flow of each phase of the oil and water mixed liquid with an oil content range of 0-100%.
