A rough positioning of the sheet (6) in the circumferential and the transverse direction is effected by a controlled stopping of the sheet (6), a side alignment is made (16) in the region of a feed table, a fine positioning in the circumferential and the transverse direction is effected by a positioning registration stops (713, 714) of a sheet transport system (7).
