A novel compound isolated from leek and use of the same as antiviral agent

PURPOSE: A novel compound separated from Korean leeks and an antiviral agent including the same are provided to be used as candidate materials for antiviral agents by showing inhibiting abilities of high pathogenic virus. CONSTITUTION: A novel compound separated from Korean leeks is represented by chemical formula 1. In the chemical formula 1, R1 indicates OH, R2 indicates H, R3 indicates O-Rha-Glc or H, and R4 indicates H, and R5 indicates OH or O-GlcUA. A method for obtaining the compound of the chemical formula 1 from the Korean leek comprises the following steps: processing an organic solvent with the Korean leeks; and obtaining a compound from chloroform fractionation after obtaining the chloroform fractionation by processing the chloroform after suspending organic solvent extract into water. The organic solvent is alcohol. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating the viral diseases includes a compound of the chemical formula 1 or pharmaceutically acceptable salt of the compound. The viral disease is the influenza viral diseases. A feed composition includes the compound of the chemical formula 1.
