INTELLIGENT VANET USING MACHINE LEARNING – A SURVEY:

VANET is a building block of Intelligent Transport System (ITS). ITS includes a variety of servicesand applications such as road traffic management, passenger information systems, public transportation systemmanagement and independent vehicle management system. It is expected that in the near future, ITS willbecome an integral part of town planning as it will contribute to improved road and traffic safety, transportationand transit efficiency, as well as to increased energy efficiency and reduced environmental pollution. On theother hand, VANETfaces a variety of challenges due to its inherent characteristics. In this survey, weinvestigate the use of Machine Learning (ML), which has nowadays gained important role, to enableVANET.We provide a widespread survey on how ML can be applied to solve the issues and challenges ofVANET services and identify the future directions for how ITS can useand benefit from ML technology.
