Behavioural Economist Dr Nikos Nikiforakis explains how Behavioural Economics challenges one of the fundamental premises of traditional Economics - the rational, self-serving Homo Economicus. Through laboratory and field experiments, Nikos also develops a model for understanding social cooperation. Dr Nikos Nikiforakis' main research interests lie in the field of behavioral, experimental and public economics. In particular, he is interested in understanding antisocial and prosocial behavior, social norms, social comparisons and selection in experiments.
