Micro-siting of Complex Terrain for Wind Power Station

Taking the Hongmu Wind Power Station for an example,micro-siting of complex terrain is analyzed.Wind turbine position is arranged by the different distances of the main wind direction and the main vertical wind direction to compare the average power generation capacity and the impact of wake-flow.The results show that the average power generation first increased and then decreased,and the average wake-flow loss decreased with the increasing of the wind turbine distance on the main wind direction;on the main vertical wind direction,the average power generation increased,and the average wake-flow loss decreased.It is suggested that the wind turbines distance of the main vertical wind direction on the complex terrain should be smaller than that on the simple terrain,which is about six to seven times of diameter of the wind turbines while it is about seven to eight times of diameter of the wind turbines on the simple terrain.
