Movimiento indígena, ordenamiento territorial y biodiversidad en Cuetzalan, Puebla

This essay makes a reflection about indigenous movement for territorial defense in Cuetzalan, Puebla. It begins with a brief description of the municipality, its history, and biological and cultural richness. Then I expose the two main concepts that drive the analysis: accumulation by  dispossession  and  social  movement,  as  I  think  that  social  movement  was  generated  by  megaprojects that are typical of this kind of accumulation. In the third part there is a detailed description of social movement’s process, which at present has expanded to the region. I finish with some reflections that aim to contribute to theoretical proposals.
