Effects of structures and surface species over Al–Ti–Ox catalysts on removal of HCN
2017
Abstract Al–Ti catalysts prepared by self-assembly method (DI-20Al–Ti), sol–gel method (SG-20Al–Ti) and impregnation method (IM-20Al/Ti) were studied for the removal of HCN. Compared with IM-20Al/Ti, the catalysts DI-20Al–Ti and SG-20Al–Ti exhibited high surface area, well-dispersed pore, and significant (001) plane of the anatase phase. Mechanistic analysis suggested that HCN was converted to N 2 via the generated OH on the (001) plane exposed of the anatase phase. Moreover, DI-20Al–Ti possessed strong basic sites and a proper ratio of TiO 2 anatase and TiO 2 rutile. These comprehensive characteristics enabled the catalyst prepared by self-assembly method to achieve high activity with a HCN removal efficiency of 100% at 250 °C.
