Active Rectifier Control Method Influence on Losses in a High-Speed Generator

The article deals with the influence of the method of forming the active rectifier voltage on the various types of losses in a high-speed permanent-magnet generator. The stator core and permanent magnets losses are considerable and are determined by the higher harmonics of the magnetic field induction. This article gives the analysis results of active rectifier voltage modulation influence on the specified types of losses. The necessity of applying selective harmonics elimination modulation is substantiated.
