Magnetoresistance due to conduction band splitting in magnetic semiconductors

2008
In magnetic semiconductors an external magnetic field causes a spin splitting of the conduction band. This leads to a change not only in the resistivity due to spin disorder but also in the resistivity due to nonmagnetic scattering such as scattering from ionized impurities.
