Method for complex and element-by-element diagnostics of internal combustion engines and plant for its implementation

2013
FIELD: test equipment. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for diagnostics of internal combustion engines (ICE). The method is implemented by control of rotation speed of a crankshaft of an engine at deactivation of some part of cylinders and simultaneous action on fuel feeding. Failed elements are localised by creation of balance between indicated power and power of mechanical losses at fixed position of control elements by fuel feeding and rotation speed of the crank shaft, which corresponds to a diagnostic mode. Dynamics of variation of parameters of ICE technical state is observed not only by control of rotation speed of the crankshaft, but also by control of time of response to test influence, run-down time, acceleration time, voltage and supply current, at creation of test influence by changing voltage, supply current of actuating elements of ICE, injectors, fuel priming pump, an ignition module, a control unit; by performing an assessment of rotation speed of the crankshaft, control of time of response to test influence, control of run-down time and acceleration time, voltage and supply current in an automatic mode In order to perform diagnostics, a plant is used, the computer system (CS) of which includes an interface of a diagnostic software CS includes a microcontroller, drives of actuating mechanisms and diagnostic connectors. EFFECT: improvement of reliability of a diagnostic process of a number of ICE systems and elements and implementation both of complex and element-by-element ICE diagnostics. 3 cl, 13 dwg
