Diarylheptanoids from the root of Curcuma aromatica and their antioxidative effects

2018
Abstract Four rare diarylheptanoids containing tetrahydropyran moieties ( 1–4 ) and five known diarylheptanoids ( 6–10 ) were isolated from the n -BuOH fraction of 75% ethanol extract from the root of Curcuma aromatica , along with a new phenol ( 5 ). Their planar and stereochemical structures were established using HRESIMS and spectroscopic methods, including ECD data. All compounds ( 1 – 10 ) exhibited antioxidant effects on the model of H 2 O 2 -induced damage in PC12 cell at their dosages of 10 μM, while compounds 1 , 3 , 6 , 7 , 9 and 10 produced that effects at 1 μM (P
