Laser metal deposition device

The objective of the present invention is to provide a laser metal deposition device with which it is possible to construct an inert gas environment using a smaller quantity of inert gas than if the entire laser metal deposition device is disposed inside a working chamber. This laser metal deposition device (1A) comprises: a nozzle (3) which radiates laser light toward a workpiece (2) and emits a jet of metal powder; and a cover (4) through which the nozzle (3) penetrates, where said cover (4) covers the workpiece (2) in such a way as to form an enclosed space (5) at least around the nozzle (3). This laser metal deposition device (1A) may additionally include a gas supply pipe which penetrates through the cover (4) and which supplies inert gas into the enclosed space.
