The invention relates to a method and a system for predicting the number of waiting passengers, an evaluation method and an evaluation system. A method for predicting the number of waiting passengers is provided. The method comprises the steps of predicting the arrival time for a current bus to arrive at one bus station based on the historical driving data of buses and the operation data of the current bus; and predicting the number of waiting passengers at the above bus station during the next period of time, based on the historical data of the passenger flow, the current number of waiting passengers and the prediction result of the arrival time.
