The type is clean, easily read, and on paper of good quality. The book is expensive ($64) for its size and content. The volume is divided into five sections covering an extensive clinical and investigative experience of the authors, with a major thrust aimed at the use of rigid internal fixation for absolute immobilization of mandibular segments. Section A, "Transplantation of Autogenous Bone," describes the histological structure of autogenous bone grafts, their fate after transplantation, and their use in maxillofacial surgery.
