A study on undesired case of unlicensed PV power plants in Turkey with regard to DSO

2016
As renewable energy sources are used increasingly; distributed generation (DG) became a new trend in energy market. Turkey, in which unlicensed DG inclines rapidly, has a special case about deployment of distributed pv power plants. Unlicensed PV power plants have higher capacity and less in number than expected values. Therefore, this undesired case has different effects on distribution system from predicted DG effects. This study will research how deployment of DG can influence distribution system in terms of grid loading, voltage drop, voltage rise and energy losses. In order to reach realistic results, a pilot region in Golbasi, Ankara is modeled by using real network data. This pilot region is simulated in an electricity network analysis software.
