cytological procedure that uses autofluorescence of white blood cells for early diagnosis and monitoring of infections

in vitro method for diagnosing the infectious state of an individual from a sample of white blood cells from a biological sample from said individual, comprising at least the following steps: i) measure the mean cell intensity of auto fluorescence from said sample, and ii) comparing the intensity measured in step i) with a control value so that the infectious state of said individual is determined.
