Exotic phenomena in high energy ep collisions

1985
The exotic phenomena that can be studied in high energy esup(+-)p collisions are reviewed using the HERA ep collider as an example. Unique mass ranges, upto 180-200 GeV, are possible in the detection of new particles (leptoquarks, leptons, quarks, SUSY particles,...) and electron quark scattering can probe substructure at the 3-5 TeV mass scale as well as infer the existence of new currents corresponding to bosons (W',Z') of masses upto 500 GeV.
