A brief status assessment of the theory of perfect-mixing reactors (PMR) and ideal plug-flow reactors (PFR) was made as applied to specific tasks of processing industry. An instance of inducing continuous excitation in the process train consisting of N PMR-N devices having equal V ap capacity and C 0 concentration in terms of displaced substance A is considered. In addition, the excitation is induced by a flow containing the basic substance B, having C x concentration and W (m 3 /min.) flow rate. General equations for substance A and substance B for the column of N continuous reactors are derived. It is stated that the obtained data describe the model behavior for a column of N PMR-N reactors well. However, one should keep in mind the necessity to make the adjustments for non-ideality that have their own specific character in each instance and their application may considerably change the degree of curvature in the initial segments of the kinetic curves.
