The Application of EWT in Reservoir Recognition and Productivity Evaluation of Carbonate Reservoir

2021
In the development of deep water carbonate oil field, due to economic factors, it is usually used to extend well test to evaluate reservoir connectivity, estimate reservoir boundaries and connectivity volume, analyze long-term production capacity of oil wells, reduce the risk of production wells in the later period, and provide oilfield development decisions for operators. In this paper, through interpretation of extended test data of a deep-water carbonate reservoir in Brazil, the horizontal and vertical connectivity of the reservoir is evaluated, as well as the vertical and horizontal heterogeneity of the reservoir. Meanwhile, through long-term production data, the productivity of the carbonate reservoir is analyzed, it provides parameters for determining the productivity of new wells. The efficient application and interpretation of extended test data is of great significance to the recognition and productivity evaluation of carbonate reservoirs.
