Lighting optics for lighting of vehicles, preferably of motor vehicles

1998
The lighting optical system has a refractive lens element which is located in the beam path of at least one illuminant. For automotive lighting oversized lamps are used to comply with the legally prescribed light intensity at prescribed angles of light intensity. DOLLAR A To the lighting optics in such a way that the mandatory characteristic for a luminaire without oversized with respect to the light intensity of lamps can be achieved, the lens element at least one opening through which a portion of emanating from lamps radiation passes unbroken through. Thus, the prescribed angle-dependent light intensity can be reliably achieved. The heat generation is kept low. DOLLAR A The lights optic is suitable for lighting of motor vehicles.
