The percentage of hypertensiveswith altered creatinine clearancewas reduced from18,5% to 10,5%, but insignificantly. Conclusions: Treatment with candesartan in hypertensive patients, especially in diabetics, reduces BP, offers a favorable metabolic profile and protects the kidney.
