Versatile Vapochromic Behavior Accompanied by a Phase Change between Charge-Polarization State and Charge-Density-Wave State in a Quasi-One-Dimensional Iodo-Bridged Dinuclear Platinum Mixed-Valence Compound, [{NH3(CH2)5NH3}2][Pt2(pop)4I] 4H2O

This communication describes versatile vapochromic behavior that is accompanied by a phase change between charge-polarization (CP) and charge-density-wave (CDW) states with increasing and decreasing temperature in [{NH 3 -(CH 2 ) 5 NH 3 } 2 ][Pt 2 (pOp) 4 I]·4H 2 O (pop = P 2 H 2 O 5 2- ) (1).
