An Analysis on the "Embeddedness" of Social Participation of the Elderly

Combined with the concept of "embeddedness", this research analyzes three different characteristics of senior citizens' social participation: the embeddedness of elderly-related policies, external motive power and patterns of social participation. These characteristics lead to the problems of single form, the continuity and the lack of guidance of social participation. In order to solve these problems, the research suggests that the mechanisms of social participation should be improved to guarantee the effects.
