High-voltage pulse generator for wire spark chambers

1976
A high-voltage pulse generator is described for supplying wire spark chambers, which uses a pulsed hydrogen thyratron and a shaping cable line in the final stage. The generator shapes pulses of negative polarity having a leading-edge duration of 30 nsec, a pulse duration of 170 nsec, a stabilized amplitude that is controllable in the range from 4 to 6 kV and a time delay approximately 100 nsec relative to the starting signal.
