Biometria de frutos-sementes e emergência de plântulas de Cordia alliodora (Ruiz & Pav.) Cham. em diferentes substratos e profundidades de semeadura Biometrics measures of fruits-seeds and seedling em ergence of Cordia alliodora (Ruiz & Pav.) Cham. in different substrates and sow ing depths

2014
Forward the importance of research that involve morphology and germination of native forest species, this study aimed to determine the biometric aspects of fruit-seed and the emergence of seedlings of Cordia alliodora in different substrates and sowing depths. As the biometry measures were taken of diameter and length units of dispersion and to evaluate the emergence of seedlings were tested sowing depths of 1 cm and 3 cm in the substrates earth, sand and plantmax. The experiment was a 3x2 factorial (substrates and seeding depth) in a completely randomized design with four replications of 25 seeds per replicate. At 45 days of sowing, germination percentage, emergence rate index (EVI) and relative frequency of emergency were evaluated. The fruit-seeds have an average diameter of 2.10 mm and a average length of 7.97 mm. The emergence of seedlings of C. alliodora was significantly higher at a depth of 1 cm and showed no significant difference between the substrates emergency land (54 %) and plantmax (61 %) at the same depth. The seeds are arranged at a depth of 3 cm were reduced emergence and EVI. The best germination performance of C. alliodora in lower sowing depths ally the small dimensions of the dispersion unit, is intimately related to the environmental strategy
