Effect of different fertility levels and weed management practices on yield attributes and Yield of wheat (Triticum aestivum)

2013
An experiment was conducted during rabi season of 2010–11 and 2011–12 at the Research Farm, College of Agriculture, Gwalior (M.P.) entitled “Management of weed flura in wheal (Triticum aestivum) under various fertility levels in different combination of herbicides. On the basis of two year pooled data results reveled that weed free condition gave higher grain and straw yield (4927.49 and 7087.99 kg/hal due to more yield attributes viz. plant height, no. of tillers/plant, ear lengh, no. of grains/ear, grain and straw yield/plant, but was statistically similar to application of pinoxaden + carfentrazone-ethyl and pinoxaden + metsulfuron -methyl. As regards fertility levels 125% RDF recorded significantly more grain and straw yield (4399.71 and 6458.72 kg/ha), yield attributes, gross income (Rs. 70472/ha) and BC ratio (3.69) as compared with 100% RDF.
