Method for extracting abelmoschus fibers from abelmoschus plant

The invention discloses a method for extracting abelmoschus fibers from an abelmoschus plant, which is characterized by comprising the following production steps of: (1) mechanically softening the abelmoschus plant, sorting and bundling; (2) pre-acidifying; (3) washing and racking the pre-acidified abelmoschus; (4) performing primary and secondary alkali boiling; and (5) washing and beating the abelmoschus subjected to the secondary alkali boiling, bleaching by using sodium hypochlorite or hydrogen peroxide, refining, dehydrating, feeding emulsified oil, removing oily water, drying, opening, and carding to obtain the abelmoschus fibers. The obtained abelmoschus fibers have good luster, soft handfeel, the feeling of ramie cotton, the bundle length of 30 to 80mm, the split degree of 500 metric counts, moisture absorption and desorption properties similar to those of bast fibers, and higher elongation and dyeing property than the bast fibers, and can be purely spun or blended with other fibers to form textile garments and household and industrial products.
