Relato de Experiência Extensionista: Qualidade de Vida durante a pandemia

2020
The context generated by the pandemic of the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) caused changes in the routine of people with disabilities, especially with regard to treatment and other quality of life activities. In this context, the Quality of Life for All Project proposed the continuity of activities remotely, in order to maintain  its objectives. The present work, therefore, is na experience report of such activity with emphasis on the classes of a student with Cerebral Palsy, for which the proposed exercises were aimed at to improve and / or maintain this individual's quality of life, as well as attenuate the altered or limited aspects. To carry out the new project model, on-line meetings were held between extension workers and interns for internal organization, followed by contact with the student and family members, on a  weekly basis, which were divided into a first moment of conversation about the current situation, leisure and difficulties; and a second one, with the activities directed specifically for the case, taking into account the disorders evidenced by the pathology.  Such  intervention  made  it  possible  to  maintain  the  child's  skills, in  addition  to  the  child's  well-being and the family contexto. It was also positive for the extension workers who carried it out, since it demanded a new and challenging perspective, as well as more in-depth searches for knowledge about the pathology and rehabilitation, in a comprehensive and multidisciplinary way.
