Fabrication and characterization of solid state image intensifier panels

Abstract Several sandwich-type solid state image intensifiers have been fabricated in our laboratory. In this paper the fabrication and characterization of some photoconductive-electroluminescent panels constructed using CdSSe(Cu): ZnCdS(Ag) for the photoconducting layers and ZnS(Cu) for the electroluminescent layer are discussed. The panels prepared from these materials showed good intensification and contrast.
