Impact of Washing on Shielding Effectiveness of Stainless-Steel Textile Fabric

This paper describes the measurements and stability of the shielding protective properties of stainless-steel textile fabric which can be used for making working clothing. Measurements were done using sources of electromagnetic radiation on frequencies that are being widely used in everyday life. The textile material containing stainless steel was washed, and the changes in shielding effectiveness were measured. The results show the influence of the washing on the protective properties of the fabric in relation to unprocessed fabric.
