Effects of Oat on Blood Pressure in the Patients of Hypergravity/Obesity with Hypertension

2012
In order to investigate the effects of oat on blood pressure in the patients of hypergravity/obesity with hypertension, seventy patients of middle-aged essential hypertension gradeⅠ~Ⅱwith hypergravity/obesity were randomly divided into group A and B,eating or not eating oat.Five weeks later, the intervention measures of two groups were reversed between two groups and respective results in group comparisons were made. The results showed that: Compared with self-control in the experiment, two groups of patients decreased apparently diastolic blood pressure(SBP),systolic blood pressure(DBP),waist circumference, body mass index(BMI),WHR,TG,and TC.Compared with respective self-control period,SBP and BMI of two groups had significant reduction(P0.05).Oat can reduce blood press and other related indexes of hypergravity/obesity with hypertension. So,oat as an adjuvant treatment of dietary intervention for hypergravity/obesity with hypertension is recommended.
