The comparative investigations of the samples of the UV spectra of flavonoids of the buds of some species of genus Populus L. (Salicaceae) Populus nigra L.), Populus balsamifera L. and propolis was carried out. The studied objects are the source of antimicrobial preparations (tincture of Populus, tincture of propolis etc.).
