A composition comprising or consisting of the components (a) (i) at least one ester of glycerol mono-alkanoyl wherein the alkanoyl is selected from octanoyl and decanoyl; and (b) (i) at least one compound selected from cholesterol, phosphatidyl cholines, phosphatidyl glycerols and lysophosphatidylcholines, in which the acyl moieties of phosphatidyl moieties are independently selected from C6 to C21 alkanoyl and alkenoyl C6 to C21.
