The invention discloses a fluorescent probe for detecting cysteine and belongs to the technical field of analytical chemistry. The fluorescent probe is obtained by stirring 2-formyl quinolyl acrylic ester and o-aminobenzenethiol in ethyl alcohol for 30 minutes at a room temperature. The fluorescent probe disclosed by the invention is convenient to use, has the advantages of better selectivity andsensitivity and low detection limit and the like for the cysteine and can be applied to detection of the cysteine in cells.
