방사광 가속기 저장링 시스템 진동 연구

2017
The Pohang Accelerator Laboratory is divided into three parts, i.e. Linac, Storage-ring, Beamline. The PLS-II project was started in 2010 and currently has a system capable of maintaining the beam lifetime for 10 hours in the storage-ring at 3.5 GeV, 400 mA. The storage-ring consists of total 12 cells with a circumference of 280 m, and in one cell, there are various kinds of magnets, vacuum chamber and diagnostic devices that can detect the position and characteristics of the beam. Depending on the characteristics of the experiment, insertion devices such as undulator and wiggler can be installed. The main purpose of upgrading the PLS-II is to install as many insertion devices as possible to enable various kinds of experiments. Various vibration studies have been carried out to develop the storage-ring system, and based on the results, a total system including AHU has been constructed.
