A study of the chemical composition of coal from outbursts. [Coal ejected]

1984
On the basis of a chemical analysis and a study of the IR spectra of coals taken from four outburst sites, it has been shown that the coal from outbursts, unlike the stable bulk, has lost its readily volatile, mainly aliphatic, part. In view of this, the amount of gas evolved in an outburst may exceed the amount sorbed.
