Gout Management in Chronic Kidney Disease: Pearls and Pitfalls

Purpose of review Gout is more prevalent than ever and is associated with multiple chronic comorbidities, including Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). While goals of treatment are the same as in those without renal impairment, co-morbid CKD poses a challenge in treatment selection and requires a solid understanding of potential drug-drug interaction and drug-related toxicity.
