Radio relay apparatus and operating method therefor

Provided are a wireless relay apparatus and an operating method therefor. The apparatus is a wireless relay apparatus for relaying a communication signal between a base station and a terminal, comprising: a donor unit for transmitting and receiving a radio frequency signal to and from the base station; and at least one service unit for transmitting and receiving an analog transmission signal to and from the donor unit, and transmitting and receiving the radio frequency signal to and from the terminal, wherein the analog transmission signal is combined with an intermediate frequency (IF) signal into which the radio frequency signal was converted as well as a time synchronizing signal detected from the intermediate frequency signal, and the time synchronizing signal is used for time division duplex (TDD) synchronous control in the donor unit and the at least one service unit.
