The Mathematical Principles of AFNI and One of its Applications to the Research of the Functional Neuroimages

2002
Firstly the basic concepts and principles of AFNI which is a software for analyzing functional neuroimages are described in the essay. Then emphasizing the basis mathematical principles of AFNI including the deconvolution analysis of FMRIt ime series data from the experiments in AFNI. A linear regression model is at tai ned. The estimated impulse response parameters are solved using the least-s quar es regression method. The f -test and t -test are provided in thestatis tical hypothesis tests. Finally, one example is given to illustrate the de convol ution analysis for functional neuroimages analysis. It constructs the bas ic prin ciples for the future data analysis using AFNI.
