2017
Objective To explore the clinical characteristics, classification and treatment strategy for pyogenic granuloma of hand. Methods Fifty cases of pyogenic granuloma of the hand treated from January 2003 to April 2015 were reviewed. According to their morphological characteristics, all cases were classified into four types: wide pedicle type, narrow pedicle type, minute type, and vesicle type. For each type, the operation strategy was explored and summarized. Results All the pyogenic granulomas were effectively removed surgically. Skin graft was necessary in 25 cases. Postoperative pathology confirmed the diagnosis of pyogenic granuloma. With an average follow-up period of 4 months, all the incisions were healed and all the skin graft survived with no recurrence of the tumor.
