Value of mammography on diagnosis of ductal carcinoma in situ
2004
The mammography of 40 patients with DCIS was analyzed. The number of patients with BI-RADS grade 0-3, 4 and 5 was 10, 19 and 11, respectively. Malignant calcifications were found in 28 cases, as well as soft tissue masses in 11 cases, thickened duct in 7 cases, structure distortion or special sign in 3 cases and negative finding in 6 cases. The results whowed that mammography is the primary method in the diagnosis of DCIS, and the emphasis on the use of mammography, especially the study of calcification, is helpful to improving the diagnosis level of DCIS.
