A Case of Ovarian Carcinoid Heart Disease

We presented a 68-year-old lady who had total abdominal hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy performed for a 7 cm complex ovarian tumor and ascites on ultrasound scan. Histopathology report confirmed the diagnosis of ovarian carcinoid tumor. This lady presented with gross ascites post-operatively, echocardiogram revealed right heart overload, tricuspid and pulmonary valve regurgitation compatible with carcinoid heart disease.
