DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM AS PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT OF SMART CITIES IN ASIA

2021
There are three dimensions in developing the Smart Cities concept, namely the information system (IS Dimension), City (City Dimension), and Environmental Sustainability (Sustainability Dimension). In China implementing a Management Information System (SIM). SIM focuses on providing middle-level management with predetermined managerial reports that will provide the managerial support they need for tactical decision making. In Japan, the development of DSS encompasses the medical and environmental spheres, such as the development of iRevive which is a pre-hospital cellular database system that allows capturing data in electronic format and DSS for the application of recycled gypsum, which is produced from gypsum waste, as a stabilizer in a pile construction project in Japan. Whereas in India, the use of DSS in IoT technology through the Smart Cities of India (SCI) will provide many benefits for SCI residents and also for the government. In this context, a holistic effort has been made to identify important issues for successful and effective implementation of the IoT policy regarding the benefits that will be extended to citizens proposed by the SCI.
