O abandono afetivo inverso: uma reflexão a partir da possibilidade de responsabilização civil dos filhos

The purpose of this article is to analyze the issue of inverse emotional abandonment in Brazil and the possibility of civil liability. Certainly the abandonment experienced by elderly Brazilians deserves special attention, in view of the aging of the Brazilian population, that is, with this the possible increase of elderly people at risk and vulnerability. Therefore, the aim is to deepen the theme and verify the possibility of civil liability of children who commit the emotional abandonment of their parents. To this end, a study was carried out through bibliographic and doctrinal research on the theme, using the deductive method, since it is based on the premise that the responsibility of children is possible from the existing legislative framework. As a possible conclusion to the theme, the care of the elderly is increasingly in evidence and that the possibility of punishing children who abandon their parents can be considered, since this practice deserves repudiation and should be regulated by the right.
