Polarisation-insensitive parametric wavelength conversion without tunable filters for converted light extraction

2006
A novel configuration for polarisation-insensitive parametric wavelength conversion that does not require tunable optical filters for extraction of the converted light and rejection of the input signal and pump lights is proposed and has been experimentally demonstrated. The proposed configuration experimentally achieves an input signal rejection ratio of more than 30 dB, and a conversion efficiency dependence on input signal light polarisation of less than 0.3 dB.
