Chemoselectivity of the 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of some diazoalkanes with 1,5-benzodiazepine derivatives

The different behavior of 1,5-benzodiazepines (I) and (V) during reaction with 2-diazopropane and diphenyldiazomethane, resp., is studied.
